Prohibition Signs

The general prohibition sign, also referred to colloquially as the 'no symbol' or 'do not' sign, features a red circle with a 45-degree diagonal line from upper-left to lower-right within it. This symbol is commonly used to indicate that a particular activity is not permitted.

Often, it is accompanied by a pictogram or text explaining the prohibited action. According to ISO standards and UK regulations, the red area within the outer circumference of the sign must occupy at least 35 percent of the total area, with the width of the 'no symbol' being 80 percent of the height of the printed area.
